4. My virus
protection says SEE Cram Demo has a virus. What do I do?
SEE Cram and SEE Cram Demo are virus free. We use McAfee and
Symantec Virus protection software. Some lesser-known anti-virus
programs -ViRobot and BellSouth Antivirus are two examples, will
sometimes falsely report that SEE Cram carries a virus. ANY install
program can be flagged as a virus if it tries to modify registry
settings or make use of the temp folder. To complete the install,
you can disable your virus protection until the install is
complete. If this option concerns you, there are other options:
1. Try different virus protection software (McAfee or Symantec).
2. Don't install SEE Cram Demo. We would never want you to
install our program if you are uncomfortable with it.
3. You can try submitting our file to your virus protection
company for analysis.

5. I am getting the message: "Setup
needs you to restart your computer before it can continue"
This is normal, especially for pre-Windows 2000 systems that have
little or no software installed. Simply clicking either the [YES]
button, or the [NEXT] button, or the [IGNORE] button will almost always
produce a successful installation. Rarely, even after you have
restarted your computer, setup continually prompts you to restart the
computer, over and over again. To solve this problem, reboot your
computer into "Safe Mode". When you do this, SEE Cram will install
properly (you may have to reboot the system one time, but when you do,
reboot into safe mode). Once you have installed SEE Cram, you can
reboot your computer into regular mode again, and everything should
work fine.
|
6. Setup won't
let me install. It says I don't have permission.
This happens because the
setup will need to make several registry
entries, and, register some system components, both of which require
proper admin access. Make sure SEE Cram is being installed by a user
with admin rights. This may be your tech support department, or,
someone in your IT department, or, perhaps you have an admin login
yourself you use for such things.

7. I am
getting the message: "Setup
is trying to replace {filex}, but the existing {filex} is newer - do
you want to keep the file?"
This is normal, Simply clicking either the
[YES] button, or
the [NEXT] button, or the [IGNORE] button will almost always produce a
successful installation.
|
8. I
am getting the message: "Setup is trying to update {filex}, but
{filex} is in use and cannot be modified."
This is normal, Simply
clicking either the [YES] button, or
the [NEXT] button, or the [IGNORE] button will almost always produce a
successful installation.

9. I
have installed SEE Cram with administrator permissions, but a user
without administrator permissions cannot run SEE Cram. What do I do?
You will want to install into one of the
following two paths:
c:\documents and
settings\all users\application data\SEECram\
c:\documents and
settings\{your_account_name}\application data\SEECram\
- make sure you
substitute {your_account_name} with your windows user name (for
example: bob).
